The Basel Group is one of the few regulated trust and company providers to specialise in e-commerce. Basel has been involved in e-commerce since 2003 providing escrow services to a number of private clients for their credit card merchant processing. Since then we have become one of the foremost company service providers for Channel Islands based fulfilment businesses and have formed good working relationships with all sectors of this industry from fulfilment houses to web designers to Hosting Centres and to specialist VAT consultants.

A new area for our e-commerce team is the world of Intellectual Property which fits well with our established escrow services. Basel sits on the local government working group that is currently reviewing Jersey’s Intellectual Property legislation.

The Basel Trust Group’s operating companies within Jersey, Basel Trust Corporation (Channel Islands) Limited and its affiliates, are regulated by the Jersey Financial Services Commission.
